NEW ALBANY RETIREE WINS $50,000 FROM LOTTERY

INDIANAPOLIS – Paul Walker of New Albany is feeling pretty good about Lucky 5.
"I've won on it occasionally, but never this much!" said Walker. "It feels great."
Walker purchased his $50,000 winning Lucky 5 evening ticket from Georgetown Express Mart at 8000 S.R. 64 in Georgetown.
The Floyd County resident is retired and likes to play the Lottery for fun. It paid off for him on the May 29 drawing.
"I had to make sure I was seeing my ticket correctly," said Walker. "I couldn't believe it at first."
Walker first called his daughter to let her know of the win.
"I called her and asked her what she was doing on Monday," said Walker. Walker's daughter joined him at Hoosier Lottery Headquarters to claim his prize.
Walker plans to pay off some bills and maybe get something to eat.
